Emilia-Romagna
A land that tells itself through food.
Emilia-Romagna is a region that blends culture, innovation and culinary tradition like few other places in the world.
Crossed by the historic Via Emilia, it is the land of Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Prosciutto di Parma, piadina romagnola and handmade fresh pasta.
The Via Emilia
Built in 187 BC by the Roman consul Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, the Via Emilia connects Piacenza to Rimini, crossing the heart of the region.
For over 2,200 years it has been the axis along which cities, trade, culture and culinary traditions have developed.
A unique territory
Between the Po, the Apennines and the Adriatic, a mosaic of microclimates makes an extraordinary biodiversity possible.
Though it represents barely 0.015% of the planet’s land surface and 0.054% of the world’s population, Emilia-Romagna is one of the most recognisable regions in the world for food quality and productive capacity.
The great products
Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma are the result of centuries of experience, tradition and respect for the land.
Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and Culatello di Zibello are born from the same deep artisan culture, made of patience and time.

The people
The true wealth of Emilia-Romagna is its people: sfogline, cheesemakers, charcutiers, winemakers and artisans.
They are the ones who pass down a unique heritage of knowledge and flavour, from generation to generation.
